Enery Consultancy

What we do:

Whether or not you have commissioned us to to undertake some form of energy performance assessment, you may have an interest in considering changes to your energy use profile.  We can assist you with the decision making process in a number of ways including:

  • providing detailed information on energy use patterns in your building and assisting with design of simple cost effective modifications.

  • ascertaining potential for grants for energy related investment.

  • modelling the theoretical potential for upgrading insulation, glazing and energy sources.

We can then take a lead role on project implementation by:

  • phrasing applications for funding.

  • sourcing quotes and managing tender process for potential suppliers.

  • site management of contractors and provision of a single point of contact for you.

Why you should use us:

The implementation of the EPB Regs informs occupiers of what improvements could be made so that these can be included in building maintenance and refurbishment programmes which can extend several years into the future.  Indeed for advisory reports from DECs the Communities and Local Government (CLG) note that

"The validity of the report is seven years. This is considered a reasonable interval during which the building occupier would have had sufficient opportunity to act on the recommended measures in the advisory report, following which a review would be appropriate in the light of new technology, changes to energy prices etc."

And that

"The advice provided in the advisory report is intended to be for information only. Occupiers receiving an advisory report are advised to seek further detailed professional advice before reaching any decision on how to improve the energy performance of the building."

For EPCs

"Though you are under no obligation to act on the recommendations for energy improvements to the building. However, taking action on the recommendations is likely to improve the energy efficiency of your building, reduce your fuel bills, cut its carbon emissions and could make it more attractive to potential buyers or tenants in the future."

What else can you do?

Even if you are not in the process of considering energy projects, you may find that a consultation with one of our assessors could provide you with some ideas to consider implementing yourself.  Please don't forget that we also offer complementary consultancy to help you manage a range of other built environmental issues.  By using us, you could not only save time and money, but also reduce your non-compliance risk.
